My wife and I thought it ironic that we should see a Virgin balloon having flown Virgin Atlantic but we were both thankful that Virgin Atlantic fly Boeing 747s and not balloons such as this!
The Betsy Hotel has a neat rooftop deck for guests. From the loungers you can look out over the top of the palm trees to the ocean. About a year ago, my wife had to travel to Miami and I tagged along for the ride. We stayed at the Betsy Hotel at the northern end of Ocean Drive, Miami Beach. Since we had the misfortune to be traveling during spring break we were glad we booked at the Betsy. This is a shot of the rear of the hotel. I like the strong lines in the architecture here. Since I like saturated colors, I’ve upped the saturation in this image. People familiar with the building will recognize the colors as being more muted in real life.
