Daily Photo – Theunissen Camp

After Bothaville we moved about 70 miles south to , and another piece of some tragic that a local farmer was willing to spare (for a fee) for a bunch of itinerant rooineks. To be fair, in the early days our workforce did cause some local problems on pay day but when we switched from paying them in cash to setting them up with bank accounts and debit cards those problems went away. We also changed the leave schedule so they got a week off for every three on and this meant they could go home and see family rather than drinking their pay away over a weekend.

Still in the Free State, the once again provided some wonderful . Plus, here we were actually camped on some higher ground on the edge of the pond rather than in the pond. Of course, we were aided in this by the fact the pond had water in it when we arrived.
