Today's photo, titled, ‘A Room With a View' is, I believe from inside the cave dwelling near the center of the hilltop in my photo, ‘The Lookout‘.
I was able to clamber up here and climb inside this cave dwelling.
In the middle of the photo you can see my white Land Rover. Behind that are two jebels and way in the distance another escarpment.
From up here there would have been quite a broad view as to the comings and goings of others. It's also a reasonable defensive point, given that ay attacher would have to attack uphill. But that is countered by the relatively small size – not many defenders would have lived up here.
