This is a shot of the rear of the hotel. I like the strong lines in the architecture here. Since I like saturated colors, I’ve upped the saturation in this image. People familiar with the building will recognize the colors as being more muted in real life.
The Elissa is a three-masted, iron-hulled barque built in Aberdeen, Scotland in 1877. She was rescued from destruction in a Greek Shipyard in 1975 by the Galveston Historical Foundation and towed to Galveston in 1979.
During the day, Cinderella Castle is a backdrop to the many performances that are staged in front of it. At night, the castle becomes a canvas where Disney’s light artists create a wondrous array of effects. It’s not just the kids that become entranced!
The Six Pence Pub sits on Bull Street at East Perry Lane in Savannah, Georgia. It’s just a couple of blocks south of Chippewa Square where Tom Hanks as Forrest Gump sat on a bench and narrated his story.
This old Texaco Station sits at the intersection of routes 178 and 303 (Ace Basin Pkwy and Green Pond Hwy) near Green Pond, South Carolina. I spotted it while driving from Charleston to Savannah one day and couldn’t resist framing a shot. Were I passing by again now, I’d probably shoot a bracket for an HDR given the structural qualities of the scene and the tonal range.
