Daily Photo – Chinese F150

Back in 1991 in China, this appeared to me to be the F150 – the 1 manpower, pickup. Apologies to all those Silverado and Ram fans, but the F150 is more widely known globally as the workhorse American pickup truck.

I'm assuming that the brakes on this were a reverse pedal mechanism as I can see no sign of brake levers on the handlebars. I don't see a gear shift either so I'm thinking this vehicle would have had less utility in a more undulating area.

The first ‘F'-series I ever drove was a beat up F250 back in 1986 when I worked in . If you changed gear too vigorously, the gear shift lever would come away in your hand. Fortunately the showed us how to repair it – they got fed up of the call for help!
