Well here we are in 2019. If you were in New York for the celebrations, then you got wet and the fireworks were a bust this year.
Here in Katy, I had a low-key celebration with my family. There were plenty of fireworks in the neighborhood, but mostly a cacophony of sound rather than a display of light and color.

Since I didn't go out shooting the New Year celebrations, I've decided to post two (handheld) shots from Disney World a few years back. Taken with an eos 5D, but reprocessed using Lightroom, Topaz Studio, and photoshop, they still hold up for me.
