The ancient Greeks and Romans knew of giraffes and according to rumors on the internet, thought that they were a cross between a camel and a leopard, hence the scientific genus name of ‘camelopardalis’. Not sure how they envisioned a camel and a leopard mating, though – probably after copious quantities of wine!

This shop has all you could ever want and less, from Union Jacks to red phone boxes and plates painted with the face of the Queen or Bill Shakespeare and his houses. Teddy bears and tea cloths, coffee mugs and teapots, all manner of stuff, much of it made in China.
