A window in time, literally. I captured this view through the clock face at the Musée d’Orsay in Paris on the fifth floor, in the North-East corner of the museum. The space behind the clock face in the North-West corner is a restaurant and I don’t find the view through it as pleasing. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum was located in Cleveland ostensibly because DJ Alan Freed coined the term ‘Rock and Roll’ during his radio years with WJW-Radio in the city and because he helped organize the Moondog Coronation Ball on March 21, 1952 in the city, generally held as the first rock and roll concert.

USS Yorktown CV-10

The USS Yorktown (CV-10) was the tenth aircraft carrier to serve in the US Navy. Commissioned in April 1943, she saw action in the Pacific, replacing CV-5 (also named USS Yorktown) lost at the Battle of Midway. She was build in just sixteen-and-a-half months!
