Daily Photo – Everglades 6

It looked to us as though the ahead was moving away so my pilot set the airboat in motion once more and we bounced across the water and grass towards the clump of trees in the middle of yesterday's photo. In today's image you can see how the frequent passing of the has worn a trail through the sawgrass. By sticking to these trails the Everglades Airboat Charters team minimize any environmental damage to the area.

If you look at yesterday's photo you'll see the band of between us and the . In today's photo we're almost under that band of . Dark as it was it didn't seem to want to develop into anything. Back over my left shoulder the sun was shining brightly between the circling storms, lighting the grass and cluster of trees while away in the distance at one o'clock there's a patch of blue sky before the next cluster of developing storms.
