I took this image at a place I’ve noted as being Schoonspruit in the Free State, back in December 1988. But it doesn’t appear to be the Schoonspruit that Google Maps or Bing directs you to since I can’t find any grain elevators there.
From this camp we recorded the first 3D seismic survey in South Africa – the client seeking to find the best location to sink a new mine shaft. Since I’ve not yet found this location on the satellite images I can’t tell if they found what they were looking at or not.
