So following on from my travel woes I decided to download the WordPress app for iPad yesterday but that just led to more issues for me.
I don’t know why but my iPad takes forever to back up. Do these things just have a lousy data transfer rate or does mine have a problem? I searched the chat boards and followed the common themes: deleted and reinstalled iTunes, disabled my virus protection, etc. With no marked difference, I finally caved and deleted all the photos off my iPad to reduce the volumes.
With the photos gone, the backup bar started to move but it still took an hour. Having done that I then took the iOS 3.2.1 upgrade and installed the WordPress app. But now I have no images on my iPad to upload.
Also, since I use the ProPhoto 3.0 Theme for this site, none of the custom fields are available in the iPad app. So now I’m theorizing I’m going to have to make tHe initial post from the iPad then log on through the Safari browser to my admin panel and edit the post to add the custom elements.
Of course, if it were easy, there’d be no point in trying but every once in a while it’d be nice not to have to twist like a pretzel to get something done.
