Daily Photo – The London Eye

The London Eye currently has EDF Energy as a sponsor. The EDF stands for Electricité de France, of course; just as 20% of the iconic London Buses are operated by Deutsche Bahn – the German railroad company.

Zizzylicious456, all my works are creative commons non-commercial. Which means you can save them as your desktop background. If you post them on a blog then you need to credit me and link to this website. If you wanted to use them commercially – i.e. make money off them or give them to someone else to make money off them, then you need to buy a license to do so.

For a screen saver, either click on the image to enlarge it or click on the enlarge button below the photo, then on a PC right click and save the file to your hard drive. Next use the control panel display options to link the image you downloaded to be your background. I don’t know how you do this on a Mac.

Nice picture. In this I can see forms and shapes, like looking into a cloud. Elements like this are inspiring to me, and it is nature afterall. I also like the colour version, but the B/W brings out more definition to me, making easier to create ideas from such as this. Like a wooden burr is to marbel – there is so much to see beyond what you see.

Nice work Richard.

The traditional definition of a desert is based on a (lack of) rainfall figure – less than 250 mm (10 in.) rainfall per year. An alternative definition is a place that lacks sufficient vegetation to support human population. the English word desert comes from the Latin ‘desertum’ meaning an abandoned place.

Currently parts of east anglia qualify as a desert, and summer has just finished here too, over 20 and no rain for weeks. The ditch along Lottage road is as dry as any desert gulch no road flooding this year, waiting for the Dabchick so that we can se when some nonegenarian tells us when, if ever, it last happened.

Daily Photo – Slide

Instead, slides now are plastic tubes. This has the advantage of preventing your precious little one from falling over the edge on the way down but has the side effect of slowing down the whole experience. On the upside, your hair looks wicked when you emerge – like you’ve been holding onto a Van der Graaf generator!
