Daily Photo – Airboat Captain

This will be the last in my current series of images. I'm really kicking myself that I deleted the e-mail with this gent's name. Hopefully I'll get a response from Everglades Airboat Charters and I can update this post.

My captain was extremely knowledgeable about the area we were traveling in and he seemed to know where the wildlife would be. He was also very precise in the handling of the with his right foot on the throttle and his left hand on the tiller to steer the boat. You can tell we're traveling at quite a lick by the way his hair is blowing back behind him. I also really love the crispness of his features relative to the background. His years out in the open show quite clearly. He was clearly in his element out here on the water, regaling me with tales of ‘frogging' and other exploits from his youth.

Despite the noise of the just behind us, I didn't find it that hard to converse with him, even when the boat was treading onward as it was when I took this shot. Taken with my trusty Canon 28-300mm lens
