
This lady was riding with the Krewe of King Arthur in their 2009 parade. Her costume and face paint are resplendent with these traditional colors. She’s chosen to use face paint in place of a mask.

Interspersed between the floats are marching bands, in the most part from High Schools. They typically play [...] ![]() 2010 was the first year I actually noticed these ‘only in Louisiana’ variations on Old Glory – the flag of the United States. This one was flying from the porch of a house on Napoleon Avenue in New Orleans. I’m fairly sure these flags have passed through my line of vision in prior years also… no comments ![]() I thought I lead off with this image of one of the Flambeau carriers from the 2010 Endymion parade. This was taken as the parade was about to set off. This guy was one of a group of about eight, all similarly dressed for their march to the Superdome.
